The Governor in Council has referred to the Economic Development Committee a reference into the impact on the Victorian economy of structural changes in banking, postal communications, municipal services, public transport and employment services.

The Committee is also required to assess the impact of the withdrawal of the above services on small and medium sized towns throughout Victoria.

The Committee is inviting written submissions from any persons and organisations that wish to express views on any aspects of this reference.

Written Submissions should be sent to the address below by 30th April 2001. All submissions are treated as public documents unless confidentiality is requested.
