Digital records expanded
The Victorian Parliament’s collection of digital resources has been expanded with the Legislative Council’s complete minutes of proceedings now available online.
Stretching back to the very first Victorian Parliament in 1856, the minutes record the decisions taken by the Council during the Parliament’s 160-year history.
Previously available only in bound volumes, the digitised minutes of proceedings will provide enhanced access to the Legislative Council’s records for historians and researchers.
The minutes are recorded by the Clerks in the chamber during the sitting and document each item of business the Council deals with.
These historic minutes are available from the Council’s webpage.
