People's house lives up to its name

OpenHouse_stepsLarge crowds toured Parliament House over the weekend for the 10th year of Open House Melbourne.

With Parliament House not usually open on weekends, hundreds of Victorians, as well as interstate and international visitors took the opportunity to see inside one of Melbourne’s most iconic landmarks.


Parliament’s tour guides and attendants supported by other parliamentary staff explained the history and function of the building, pointing out key architectural features.

More than 200 buildings across Melbourne were open on 29 and 30 July, giving people a unique insight into our state’s capital.
