Medal for parliamentary service
After a 48-year career in Victoria’s parliamentary service, Wayne Tunnecliffe has been awarded a Public Service Medal.
The award was announced in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for 2019.
Mr Tunnecliffe commenced working at the Victorian Parliament in December 1967 and was Clerk of the Legislative Council from 1999 to 2015.
Since his retirement he has continued to contribute to the development of parliamentary democracy in our region, providing procedural advice to the Fiji Parliament as part of a Pacific Parliamentary Partnerships program with the Victorian Parliament.
