Historic appointment for Legislative Assembly

Incoming Clerk of the Legislative Assembly Bridget NoonanBridget Noonan has been appointed the new Clerk of the Victorian Legislative Assembly.

She becomes the 16th Clerk and the first woman to serve in the role in the Victorian Parliament’s 161-year history.

Parliament Prize awarded to Victorian students

Parliament Prize 2017Six Victorian students have won awards in The Parliament Prize for 2017, presented at Parliament House. 

The winners were announced by Legislative Council President Bruce Atkinson and Legislative Assembly Speaker Colin Brooks, who presented the awards at a ceremony held at Parliament House attended by the students, their families, teachers and a number of MPs.
