Publications and policies

In 2023, the Parliament of Victoria developed and released a Reconciliation Action Plan. This is an important step forward for engagement with Victoria’s First People’s, and includes initiatives which aim to lead to substantial benefits for both Parliament and the community.

This document was developed with guidance by Reconciliation Australia. As a 12 month “Reflect” plan, Reconciliation Australia describes the purpose of this as “scoping and developing relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, deciding on your vision for reconciliation and exploring your sphere of influence.”
