Puppy at Parliament
Seeing eye dog Becky has been roaming the corridors of Parliament House to help raise awareness among MPs about living with blindness and low vision.
The canine visitor was part of a Vision Australia information session that included displays about the services available to people with varying degrees of vision loss.
MPs were able to view and try some of the products available to enable greater participation in study and the workforce by people with vision loss. Vision Australia representatives were able to discuss how people in MPs’ electorates could benefit from the services and products that have been developed.
