Victoria’s Treaty Assembly to meet to elect next co-chairs
The First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria will be holding its first meeting of its second term on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country at Victorian Parliament House following the historic Treaty Elections in which all eligible Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were invited to choose the people who will negotiate a statewide Treaty.
The ceremonial opening and the inaugural speeches from the Members on Day 1 will be livestreamed along with an event on Day 2 with Government representatives.
