Petition Repair the Hume Highway

The Petition of certain citizens of the State of Victoria draws to the attention of the Legislative Council the need to repair the Hume Highway. From north-eastern Victoria all the way through to Melbourne, the Hume Highway is in poor condition. People have had to repair their vehicles multiple times due to the condition of the road. The highway needs to be a safe highway, as this is the daily Melbourne to Sydney route for trucks, tourists, and locals. Road users pay vehicle registration fees and deserve to travel on a safe highway.

The petitioners therefore request that the Legislative Council call on the Government to repair the Hume Highway and consider long term fixes to the highway.
