Question on Notice
Mr Bull (Gippsland East) to ask the Minister for Roads and Road Safety — Road Safety concerns have been raised by Bruthen Primary School parents. The designated school zone is signposted for reduced speeds on the Great Alpine Road during school hours. Unfortunately, many motorists drive in excess of the 40 km/h limit during these times. The Bruthen Primary School Council has previously requested improved road signage to warn motorists of the upcoming school zone as the current signs are not effective.
Will the Minister consider installing improved school zone signage with lights in this location to support driver awareness of the reduced speed during school times in this school zone.
