Question on Notice
Mr Bull (Gippsland East) to ask the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change — The first of the replacement modular Cape Conran Cabins left from the Bairnsdale building company last week, one of 11 new replacement cabins at the Coastal Park. Community concern has now turned to the remaining five cabins. It has been rumoured that only one of the five remaining historic and bespoke cabins will be left standing when, post fires, the community was told the five cabins that survived would be retained and plans showed this.
(1) Can the Minister confirm that that all five cabins that survived the fire will retained (as they were told).
(2) If plans have changed and not all five are to be retained:
(a) when will the Minister advise the community of this;
(b) what will happen to the materials from these cabins.
