Question on Notice
Mr Bull (Gippsland East) to ask the Minister for Industry Support and Recovery — Dylan Clark and his partner took over the Marlo Hotel last year, but they have not received anything from the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund, which was created to support these very businesses through the COVID lockdowns. The hotel was eligible for and received support under the first round of this fund, but when it was sold and transferred to new ownership, the liquor licence changed, which is standard practice. A clear flaw in the criteria meant the new liquor licence was not recognised and the establishment that had been supported, was cut off from later rounds.
Will the Minister now recognise this unfair criteria anomaly and ensure the new Marlo Hotel owners are provided with the support they are entitled to.
