Anasina Gray-Barberio

Meet Anasina

Before entering Parliament, I was a community organiser and campaigner working to advance Pacific Island intergenerational health outcomes. I worked with our pacific island communities in the north to ensure their voices were visible in health care spaces from a lens of intersectionality and social justice.

Parliament does not reflect the community it represents, and there are many diverse communities not represented. I’m here because my community is not represented and many communities that are marginalised in the northern metro. I’m here because I want all community members in Northern Metro to be afforded the same level of opportunity, equity, and success.

I’m passionate about bolder action for climate justice. I’m passionate about gender equality and family violence. My priorities include social justice for all those grappling with the cost of living crisis and housing affordability.
