This government has missed its own legislated deadline of December 2022 to make all tram stops accessible for those with restricted mobility, wheelchair users, parents and carers with prams and small children, and the elderly. If upgrades continue at the current speed, tram stops will not be fully accessible until 2066. When will the government make public transport accessible for all Victorians? Specifically, the constituents of Richmond want to know when the government will fund the construction of accessible tram stops on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy and along tram route 78 to make trams accessible for all in the electorate of Richmond.
