Ashwood electorate
Matt FREGON (Ashwood) (14:53): (723) My constituency question is for the Minister for Energy and Resources, and I ask the minister: how is the Allan Labor government helping my constituents of Ashwood transition away from gas through the electrification of their households? Our community understand both the urgency of climate action and that electrification will reduce their energy bills, and we see this community enthusiasm through organisations such as Electrify Boroondara. I had the great privilege of attending their first expo last year, which is now an annual event and is coming up again on 8 September 2024. I encourage everyone to get there to learn how we can get off gas, save some money and electrify our homes. I look forward to the minister’s response.
