Peter Calnan

Two weeks ago a good paramedic friend of mine passed away suddenly. Peter Lawrence Calnan was a paramedic for over 35 years. He was a paramedic, a mobile intensive care ambulance paramedic, and became a duty team manager. He was only 58 years of age. Peter and I worked many shifts together at Sunshine ambulance station throughout the 1980s and 1990s. We had a lot of fun during our shifts, which I cannot talk about. He was heavily involved in the western suburbs ambulance social club. Peter always tried to support and look after his colleagues in many different ways, and he would have given the shirt off his back if he had to. Peter will be sadly missed by all. I extend my best wishes to his children, Ruby and Riley, his family, his friends and of course his paramedic family. Vale, Peter Lawrence Calnan.
