Ovens Valley electorate sports facilities

Grassroots footy and netball are alive and well in Mount Beauty and Dederang. I watched a game recently as they fielded a team against Mitta. However, at a recent training night that I attended it was demonstrated how important the lighting is for these small community groups, and I urge the Victorian government to stop patting themselves on the back for Melbourne-based grants and upgrades and look a little further up the road to see that Victoria does not stop at Kalkallo. Dederang needs a power upgrade and new lights to assist junior and senior football—$500 000 is not a big ask when you compare it with what they have been spending in Melbourne.
