Mr Gary Maas

Gary Maas

Meet Gary

Before entering Parliament, Gary worked as a musician, teacher, lawyer, organiser, union secretary, and board director on commercial and not-for-profit boards.

Gary ran for Parliament because he believes that strong communities matter. He wants to build fairer communities where people have access to good government initiatives, jobs and housing to build a secure future for themselves and their families.

The priorities Gary has for his community are jobs, education, health, public transport and roads.

Gary's vision for Victoria’s future is one that is fair, equitable and clever. He wants Victorians to have a clean energy future with access to secure work, the best hospitals, schools and TAFE, and fast and efficient public transport and road networks. He wants a Victoria where government works to build fairer communities, where Victorians are housed securely and can make meaningful contributions to their community.

The areas of public policy that he is passionate about are education, law reform, climate change action, industrial relations, housing, trade and creative industries.
