Trung LUU (Western Metropolitan) (13:05): (504) My question is for the Minister for Housing as well. In May this year Hobsons Bay council sent an eviction notice to my constituents the residents of Techno Park Drive, Williamstown, telling them they can no longer live there and instructing them to leave due to zoning regulations. My question is: what is the minister doing to help my constituents the residents of Techno Park Drive to find a home during a rental and housing crisis? Since 1951 Techno Park Drive has been home to migrants and refugees and a place for many disadvantaged and vulnerable people to find a home. Thirty years ago it was rezoned as industrial, but the residents were allowed to continue living there. Now, in the middle of a housing and rental crisis, my constituents have been asked to leave and have been evicted. Can the minister please update me on what is being done to help the residents to find a new home?
