Mr ONDARCHIE (Northern Metropolitan) (12:32): (1771) My constituency question today is for the Minister for Health, and it concerns waiting times at the emergency department of Northern Hospital. Over the last week I have had approaches and inquiries from people in Lalor, in Wollert, in Roxburgh Park, in Mill Park, in Greenvale and in Craigieburn. These constituents are all concerned how long it takes them after their post-triage—and the staff do a really good job there—to actually get seen. I am aware that last night we had a code orange here in Victoria, and it seems that it takes longer to get an ambulance here than it does to get Menulog delivered to your home. So my question for the minister is: what are you doing to improve the wait times for my constituents so they can get the attention they need at Northern Hospital?
