Willsmere Station Community Garden
Jess WILSON (Kew) (09:58): It was fantastic to celebrate the five-year anniversary of the Willsmere Station Community Garden in Kew East last weekend. The garden is such a great example of people voluntarily coming together to nurture something wonderful for the benefit of the whole community. The garden has 50 plots, a communal food forest for harvest sharing, wheelchair-accessible raised plots and a children’s area. The whole community is welcome to enter and enjoy the garden, and often veggies and seedlings are left on the abundance shelf for residents to help themselves to. Thank you to the wonderful Willsmere gardeners for nurturing the garden on behalf of our community, and a special shout-out to Allan Davey for organising the celebration.
