Mary-Anne THOMAS (Macedon – Leader of the House, Minister for Health, Minister for Health Infrastructure, Minister for Ambulance Services) (17:37): The member for Caulfield raised a matter for the attention of the Minister for Education, and the action he seeks is that the minister join him at Glen Eira Secondary College to discuss road safety concerns. The member for Bass raised a matter for the attention of the Minister for Energy and Resources. The action that she seeks is that the minister join her and meet with the Lang Lang community to discuss their concerns regarding the sand quarry. The member for Gippsland East raised a matter for the attention of the Minister for WorkSafe and the TAC, and the action he seeks is a review of the process for those who are injured in motor vehicle accidents.

The member for Northcote raised a matter for the attention of the Minister for Consumer Affairs. The action that she seeks is that the minister provide her with an update on how the rental taskforce stands to benefit around 40 per cent of her constituents who are renters and to have the opportunity to discuss other nation-leading rental reforms that are being driven by the Allan Labor government. The member for Bulleen, who is here, had a matter for the attention of the Minister for Transport Infrastructure, and the action he seeks is that the minister review the design standards and/or rebuild the awning at Montmorency station. The member for Mulgrave, in a very concise fashion, had a matter for the attention of the Minister for Children, and the action that she seeks is that the minister join her at Carwatha P–12 College to discuss plans for the kinder that will be built onsite, which will be a huge benefit to families in the hardworking member for Mulgrave’s electorate.

The member for Croydon had a matter for the attention of the Minister for Roads and Road Safety, and the action that he seeks is that the minister urgently repair Croydon Road, Croydon. The member for Pascoe Vale had a matter for the attention of the Treasurer, and the action that he seeks is that the Treasurer provide him with an update on the actions that the Allan Labor government is taking to support the cost of living, responding directly to the needs of the members in his community. The member for Nepean had a matter for the attention of the Premier, and the action that he seeks is that the Premier look to provide lifebuoys, particularly on the Rye Pier jetty, following the tragic drowning that was described by the member. The member for Cranbourne had a matter for the attention –

Mary-Anne THOMAS: The hardworking member for Cranbourne had a matter for the attention of the Minister for Education. I am sure the Minister for Education very much looks forward to visiting the member for Cranbourne at one of the many government schools in the member’s electorate to hear firsthand how the school saving bonus is delivering, again, cost-of-living relief to the constituents of the member for Cranbourne.
