Yan Yean electorate bus services
Lauren KATHAGE (Yan Yean) (10:19): I was so pleased to hear that another $150 million is coming to growth areas through the growth area infrastructure contribution fund. We love seeing that money roll into the outer suburbs. In the last round we received news of a new bus for Donnybrook, the 524, and we were very excited, but the community raised up their voice because there was an issue with the route that was proposed. It did not include Peppercorn estate, the estate furthest from the train station. I was proud to add my voice to the community’s voice, and I am even prouder to announce that the bus route has been changed to include Peppercorn estate. Now all estates will have access to the train station. Congratulations to the community for working so effectively and in such a united way to get this much needed resource.
