Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month

Chris CREWTHER (Mornington) (10:02): Secondly, I would like to speak on the last day of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, where we are raising awareness for those who are grieving after having suffered a miscarriage or pregnancy loss. The yellow ribbon I am wearing is a symbol of remembrance for those who have experienced a miscarriage or early pregnancy loss. My own wife, as I have mentioned before, had a miscarriage with what would have been our second child, then we later of course had our son. I know the personal experience of people who go through miscarriages and their partners and families, so I would like to acknowledge all of the people – which is one-quarter of all pregnancies – who go through miscarriages in this Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.
