Baw Baw Big Blokes BBQ

Wayne FARNHAM (Narracan) (10:07): I rise today to talk about our Big Blokes BBQ last week. It is in its 11th year, and this year they raised $208,000 – slightly down on last year, but a great achievement by a community that has been going strong on this. In the 11 years they have raised a total of $1.9 million for men’s prostate cancer. I just want to give a quick shout-out to the organisers Andrew Schreyer, who is the president; Jamie Power, the vice-president; and the committee Craig Debnam, Daniel Cook, David Wouters, Luke Patterson, Michael Blackwood – brother of the former member for Narracan – Michael Grogan, Rob Hutchison, Dean Addison and Jamie Purcell. It was a fantastic day. And who would have thought a comedian, being Des Dowling, would have actually picked on the local MP, but he did apparently fat-shame me. Disgraceful! But I lived.
