Anthony CARBINES (Ivanhoe – Minister for Police, Minister for Crime Prevention, Minister for Racing) (10:09): I was pleased to join the Deputy Premier with the principal of Viewbank Primary School Bill Kersing, and I give a shout-out to the school captains Jeremy, Heidi, Harrison and Abbey for the opening of the $6.9 million modernisation upgrade at Viewbank Primary School. That funding delivered the new administration building and demolished the old facilities. It also funded three relocatable buildings and moved five new relocatable buildings that were installed at Viewbank Primary School. There are 650 students there at Viewbank. There is a new staffroom for teachers and the support staff. It is a fantastic outcome, and that builds of course on an earlier project that we concluded at Viewbank Primary School, which was $3.8 million. So we have actually invested some $10.7 million on some great projects there to conclude significant works at Viewbank Primary School. I look forward to welcoming the Deputy Premier for the opening of the $12.3 million Banyule Primary School modernisation project just up the road, and we will be doing that very soon.
