Father Brendan Reed
Jess WILSON (Kew) (09:59): Last Sunday marked the end of Father Brendan Reed’s farewell tour, with mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Deepdene. Father Brendan was initially appointed parish priest of OLGC in 2006. Over the next 18 years he gained additional responsibilities for All Hallows in Balwyn, Our Lady of Victories basilica in Camberwell, Our Holy Redeemer in Surrey Hills and Our Lady of Perpetual Succour in Wattle Park. Priests administer support to our community in times of great joy and happiness and in times of struggle, sickness and sorrow.
In Father Brendan, our community has been blessed to have such a faithful, forward-looking and dedicated leader serving our parishes and schools. We will miss him. We wish him all the very best for his next appointment, and we look forward to seeing him back in the parish soon. God bless him.
